My nature is to help.

It’s deeply rewarding and energizing for me to see people learn about themselves and make the changes they’ve been yearning for, to become clearer, stronger, freer, with more enthusiasm about their life.

It’s my honor to accompany people like you who are willing to look inside for your truth and to wrestle with challenges head-on in order to feel better and grow.

Clients tell me that I am easy to talk to, understanding, and skillful, and that I consistently find constructive, welcome new perspectives hidden in their struggles. As a result, they say they feel clearer, stronger, and more at peace. These, their reactions, feed my sense of meaning and purpose.

  • Focused on treatment of very bright but underachieving children and adults struggling with anxiety and self-doubt.
  • Developed specialty working with physicians and surgeons on the stresses of that high-pressure work.

A word on values

I believe that when we live in sync with what’s most important to us, when our inner world and outer life are in harmony, not only will we feel better, but finding meaning and purpose will come into sharper focus, too.

As a licensed acupuncturist I have occasion to refer my clients to other professionals: for example, to doctors, dentists or psychotherapists. I only recommend someone I am confident will be able to help and Andrea Shaw is at the top of that referral list. From the feedback I get from my clients, Andrea is top-notch. They report that she is professional, consistent, empathic, and has a rare unwavering attention. Whatever that special something is, it makes Andrea Shaw my number one referral person for clients who want to work through pain, challenges, anxiety, or in general, more fully explore their psychological health.
